Working Today, for Tomorrow's Success.
YouthBuild is a collaborative partnership that helps prepare young adults for careers and employment in the construction industry. The focus is on increasing educational and work skills while providing exposure and access to employment in the construction trades. Training focuses on construction credentials, with additional options to earn industry-recognized credentials in manufacturing and hospitality. Participants work on construction sites acquiring construction and life skills through a combination of hands-on learning and mentorship. Services include industry-supported curricula, credentialing options, and tutoring.
The program offers 28 weeks of subsidized program wages, at up to 28 hours per week, with an additional 8 weeks supported by stipends. Youth who complete the program are supported in transitioning to apprenticeship, employment and/or post-secondary education programs.
