Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Regional Plan
Workforce Development Areas (WDAs) 1, 2 and 3 have developed a WIOA Regional Plan in conjunction with regional WIOA partners and employers to provide a vision and strategy for public workforce service delivery in the 7-county Southeastern Wisconsin region for the next four years. The WIOA Regional Plan outlines regional workforce development needs, provides labor market analysis and projections, establishes workforce program goals, defines governance structures and local policies, identifies service providers and locations, and conveys the performance and accountability measures for Wisconsin’s Workforce Development Area (WDA) 2. The WIOA Local Plan further defines the strategies and initiatives to increase workforce system efficiencies that ensure the continuing modernization of the workforce system and the creation of a customer-centered system in which:
- The needs of business and workers drive workforce solutions;
- Job Centers provide excellent customer service to all jobseekers and businesses;
- Strong regional economies are supported; and
- The local board’s vision and goals reinforce the priorities of the state workforce system.
