Employ Milwaukee serves as the workforce system “aggregator” in Milwaukee County – aligning workforce system partners in workforce and economic development, education and community partners and business. That is why Employ Milwaukee formed the Job Developer Cooperative as a place to share information and maintain partnerships among participating organizations.
Representatives from workforce system partners typically meet monthly to identify shared business services issues to avoid duplication of services; exchange information about industry demand and workforce supply; share, review and validate labor market needs; and identify career pathways and credentials.
The Job Developer Cooperative aligns our talent development programs and services with the needs of companies across southeast Wisconsin. How do we measure success? Filling industry demand with qualified workforce supply by moving individuals from business-directed trainings directly into job openings.
The Milwaukee Job Developer Cooperative: Employ Milwaukee the Department of Workforce Development partners, including Job Service, Office of Veteran Services, Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards. In addition to, MATC, WEDC, WRTP/BIG STEP and the Milwaukee 7 (M7).
