Milwaukee Fresh

Milwaukee Fresh is a talent recruitment and relocation assistance initiative designed to help households relocate to Milwaukee for careers in critical need fields, such as healthcare, skilled trades, and public safety, and connecting them to the city's community and culture once they arrive. Through the program, eligible individuals moving from outside of Wisconsin may receive reimbursement for qualifying relocation expenses, helping make the transition to living and working in Milwaukee more affordable. Milwaukee Fresh is funded through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) Talent Recruitment Grant. 

Through Milwaukee Fresh, eligible participants can:

• Receive up to $3,000 in relocation reimbursement for a one-person household
• Receive up to $5,000 for a two-person household
• Receive up to $7,000 for a three-person household
• Receive up to $9,000 for a household of four or more people

To be eligible, applicants must:

• Be moving from outside of Wisconsin
• Relocate to the City of Milwaukee
• Have a household income of $55,000 or more
• Not be participating in another Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) grant
