Brighter Futures Milwaukee prepares high school students for graduation and post-secondary success. The program promotes self-sufficiency through academic proficiency, job readiness, and resilience-building. Participants are matched with a career planner who connects them with resources and the tools they need to overcome challenges, build resilience, and prepare for long-term academic and career success.

Employ Milwaukee provides funding to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee for enrollment and program services. Visit their website to learn how to apply to the program.

Eligibility Requirements:

Brighter Futures serves students between the ages of 14-21 who are attending secondary school in grades 9-11 and meet one or more of the following documented criteria:

  • Incomplete or missing Academic & Career Plan (ACP)
  • Low academic proficiency or credit accumulation
  • Attendance rate below 95%
  • No prior work history
  • Behavior concerns such as suspensions or office referrals

 

Funding for Brighter Futures is provided by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families.
