Earn & Learn Participants

Participant Enrollment is Now Open!

Earn & Learn applicants must meet the following qualifications:

1. Reside in Milwaukee County
2. Aged 14-24 on the first day of Earn & Learn (June 29, 2026)
3. Eligible to work in the United States

(Participants will need one of each document type)

Participant Identification

Participant Residency

Documents must not be expired Residency document can use guardian name if participant is under 18
School Picture ID with Date of Birth- under 18 only Piece of mail
Immunization Record- under 18 only- can be found here. Utility bill
State ID or Driver's License State ID or Driver's License
Passport  

 

Applicants will need ONE of the listed ID documents and ONE of the listed residency documents in order to apply.

About Earn & Learn

Earn & Learn program participants work 20 hours per week for 7 weeks earning an hourly wage at local area non-profits, community organizations, small businesses, and more! Work experiences available through our Earn an& Learn program range from developing culinary skills to working in medical facilities. Employ Milwaukee and partners also host career development opportunities for hands-on career exposure in high-demand fields! During on-boarding, participants will learn basic work readiness skills and basic financial literacy skills which include, but are not limited to:

  • Communication skills
  • Punctuality
  • Professional conduct 
  • Money management
  • Conflict resolution 
  • Time management
