Starting on a Path to a Fulfilling Career

Enrique is a shining example of the Cream City YouthBuild (CCYB) program. Enrique was a young man with an interest in building when he entered the program seeking a path to a fulfilling career.

After seeing flyers and promotional materials on social media, Enrique’s mother encouraged him to sign up for the program.  During his time in the CCYB Construction track program, Enrique underwent a comprehensive training curriculum that welds classroom instruction with hands-on experience. This unique approach helped hone his technical skills, fortify his work ethic, and reinforce a sense of responsibility.

During his time in the program, Enrique participated in renovating and building low-income housing for Milwaukee families in need. These experiences not only allowed him to apply his newfound training in real-life scenarios, but also give him a sense of pride as a future leader who is actively contributing to his community.

After completing the CCYB program, Enrique entered the workforce as a confident young professional with real-world experience, professional training, certifications, professional skills, and resume that make him a standout candidate for future job opportunities.

“I’m in the Union now. I have a carpentry job. I recommend the program to so many people. Put effort in bettering yourself. Don’t slack, don’t give up.”
