Aaron Ross was looking for a stable career with work-life balance that would allow him to spend time with his newborn twins when he found the BankWork$ program. He was also excited about the opportunity to gain more financial knowledge and share that with other people in his life.
He enrolled in BankWork$ and completed eight weeks of curriculum in the financial services industry, customer service, and job readiness. He found balancing his personal life and learning how to best serve members to be a challenge at first, but BankWork$ Instructor Adriene Wright supported him and accommodated his schedule to make up a day he needed to miss due to family duties.
"BankWork$ was an amazing program, not only because of the connections I built, but because of the career it has placed me in."
After graduation, Aaron was hired by Summit Credit Union as a full-time Teller. He enjoys having a career that allows him to spend time with his kids and have a life outside of work, and being able to share financial advice with family and friends.
"Being able to speak to and greet new faces every day is so much fun, and something to look forward to when waking up to go to work," Aaron said.
