Ajani works at Vibez Creative Arts Space, where he helps customers with projects, organizes supplies, and helps set up for events. He is one of the many teens in Milwaukee hired through the Earn & Learn program which focuses on providing meaningful work experiences and career exposure to young adults ages 14-24 years old.

15-year-old Ajani was originally apart of Camp RISE, a career exploration summer youth program for 10-13 year olds, but when he aged out of the program, his mother encouraged him to continue on with Earn & Learn.

Ajani recommends Earn & Learn to other young people looking for job experience because it has prepared him to enter the workforce, taught him how to always have a positive attitude, and how to communicate with others effectively. Ajani’s favorite part of his role is working with kids and helping them with their art.

This Earn & Learn experience will impact Ajani and other participants as they enter adulthood and their future careers by equipping them with the tools and guidance needed to succeed. In the future, Ajani hopes to attend college and become a lawyer.
