Emergency Vehicle Mechanic

What do Emergency Vehicle Mechanics do?

  • Use handtools, like screwdrivers and wrenches, and power tools, like lathes and jacks.
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, and other important parts
  • Use hydraulic jacks or hoists to raise trucks
  • Take apart and reassemble vehicles

Minimum Requirements

To work in this role, you'll need:

  • One year of experience disassembling and reassembling vehicles, and installing electronic equipment into vehicles.
  • A valid driver's license.
