Paid Work Experience: Get real-world experience in a supportive environment. You may be eligible for short-term, paid work placements with local employers.
Training for Recovery-Based Careers: FORWD offers training that prepares you to become a Certified Peer Specialist, Parent Peer Specialist, or Recovery Coach, roles that use your lived experience to help others.
Supportive Services: We’ll help remove barriers to your success, whether it’s transportation, work clothing, or navigating recovery while reentering the workforce.
Personalized Career Guidance: Work with a dedicated program specialist to map out your career path, identify your strengths, and prepare for long-term employment.
You may qualify if you are:
A dislocated worker
Long-term unemployed
Affected by a public health emergency (like the opioid crisis)
A self-employed person who lost income due to the opioid crisis
